Digital Marketing is an exciting topic to teach and thanks to the constant changes in industry, I will never get bored with my course content. As each semester ends, I like to reflect on what assignments, certifications, and lectures added the most value to the class. I keep waiting for the day that I won't feel the need to revise my course
Our discipline is interesting and there are so many great industry resources that can help prepare our students. Being friends with other digital marketing educators is both a blessing and a curse. It seems that we have a need to constantly pass on to each other new resources. Thanks to my friend Debra's recommendation, I completed the Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certification over the Winter Break. After finding a new resource, I had no choice but to incorporate it into my class this semester. And to pay it forward, I contacted two people that I know at other universities and told them about Hubspot which lead to their need to revise their own courses. If you are looking to add a certification to your course, Hubspot Academy has several to choose from that are not platform specific. If you have any recommendations for industry resources or have assignments that you are willing to share, please contact me.
